All costs including meals are covered directly by the participants. We will provide information on how to purchase tickets, etc.

Later registration for excursions is possible but please note that we will cancel excursions with limited interest. We are happy to answer any questions you might have directly at the conference.

Restaurants

Swiss food restaurant recommendations (curated by Bruce McDonald):

Rheinfelder Bierhalle: Traditional Swiss food in a beer hall setting.

Raclette Stube: Raclette is a Swiss dish based on heating the cheese and scraping off the melted part. It is served with potatoes, pickles, and onions.

Raclette Factory: Another place to try raclette.

Zeughauskeller: Traditional Swiss food in a historic building.

All restaurants are located in the old town of Zurich.

Social media policy:

Speakers and Chairs

Talk duration: Regular talks are 15’ (+5’ questions), lead talks are 25’ + 5’, special session talks are 10’ + 5’.

We ask you to upload your presentation at the latest 1 hour ahead of your session (so either 8:00 AM for a morning talk or 1:00 PM for an afternoon talk). Talks should not be uploaded in the conference room using a USB stick unless you face technical issues.

Accepted formats: Powerpoint or PDF. PDFs are the safest format for presentation but exclude the possibility to show videos.

How to name your talk file: “LastName_Day.ppt” (e.g. “Smith_Thursday.ppt”)

Link to upload your talk: (see email sent to all speakers)

This acts like a Dropbox and you will not be able to browse the uploaded files. If you need to revise your upload, just upload a second file called “LastName_Day_version2.ppt”.

When to arrive: Please be present at latest 10’ ahead of the start of the session in the conference room to meet the chairs. If you would like to check your presentation on the installed laptop, please arrive even earlier.

Travel arrangements, visa

Each participant is responsible for their own travel arrangements and accommodation. Please check our website for more information. We can provide an invitation letter if necessary.
